These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of dmvbizconnect.com and the services offered by DMV Business Connect (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the site, creating an account, or publishing a listing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What we are

DMV Business Connect is an online directory that helps people find local businesses in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia, and helps those businesses be found. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a business listed on the site, and we do not employ, endorse or guarantee the businesses listed.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

3. Business listings

If you submit or claim a listing, you confirm that you are the owner of the business or are authorized to represent it, and that the information you publish is accurate, lawful and yours to share. Listings must follow our Listing Guidelines. We may edit, reject or remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that appear inactive, misleading or duplicated.

4. Paid plans

Some listing features are offered through paid plans shown on our Pricing page. Prices, features and billing terms are displayed before you pay. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, fees are non-refundable once a listing has been published. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and we do not store full card details.

5. Reviews and user content

Reviews, photos, comments and other content you post must be honest, based on your own experience, and must not be defamatory, hateful, obscene, or infringe anyone’s rights. By posting content, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display and promote it on the site and our social channels. We may remove content at any time.

6. Prohibited use

  • Posting false, fake or paid-for reviews, or reviewing your own business or a competitor’s.
  • Scraping, copying or reselling directory data without written permission.
  • Uploading malware or trying to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the site.
  • Using the site to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
  • Impersonating another person or business.

7. Third-party links

Listings and pages may link to websites, booking tools and services run by others. We are not responsible for their content, products or practices.

8. Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We try to keep listings accurate but do not guarantee that information such as hours, prices, licensing or availability is complete or current. Always confirm details directly with the business, including licenses and insurance for contractors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DMV Business Connect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any dispute, loss or injury arising from your dealings with a business found on the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Loudoun County, Virginia.
