Takoma Park Cooperative Nursery School is a parent cooperative preschool that has served families since 1942.
It enrolls three-, four- and five-year-olds in a nature-based program centered on play in an outdoor classroom, supported by a renovated indoor space. Parents take part in the school community, and the program emphasizes equitable access to time in nature. The school accepts Maryland child care scholarships and Montgomery County working parent assistance, and runs a summer camp.
